As the title says, this book is all about a series of fictitious viruses. None of them are actually contagious, or even real. The author, although a medical doctor by training, now works as an artist and linguist, not as a researcher in any secret program to create bioweapons for the government.

The images were putatively taken using a scanning electron microscope, at a university that doesn’t exist, and are being presented here purely for the purposes of art and entertainment.

The original images used in this project were mostly black and white photos of lab monkeys from the 1950’s and 60’s, and were adapted using various software including MirrorLab, Microsoft Photo, and Adobe Photoshop.

Loving attention went into making each photo truly unique and realistic in appearance. No animals were slaughtered, eaten, maimed and / or injected with cosmetics in the making of this book.
